I agree with Khariz's observation and am amused at the fuss kicked up by Tripped in two separate threads.

even if used tokens are being exchanged , the members know what they are doing & there are mechanisms in place by CS team to mitigate fraud-like activities (as well as the 'claimed' privacy threats due to token exchanging hands) involved when this takes place.

As long as you know how to get involved in an 'escrow-like transaction' you can be fairly certain of avoiding the most common scams wrt token exchanges.

That is why CS team is there to act as a go-between for high-value token exchanging owners.

For alephs imo , if I was to grab one.. well those are "nearly perpetual" tokens (delicious0)... the issue is more of parties involved taking measures to avoid being scammed mid-way during the exchange e.g. counter-party risk like token over-use, bait-and-switch or Paypal scam etc

The token is pretty much just a piece of auth string; so it is difficult to scam many without it being noticed fast by cs team.

The issue is more of trusting the other party to part with his token as-per-promise.

I'd ''kill'' to get an aleph (some day .. such wow but i am saving up to own one.)

So this seller has never shown his/her token in IRC as per requested. It is a scam.
