Resellers: Supply Tokens With QR Codes

Postby parityboy » Sat Feb 28, 2015 7:17 am

Anyone using CryptoStorm from a mobile device knows how annoying it can be to have to enter credentials, especially when you have to do it every month. One obvious solution to this is to buy a yearly token of course, but there's another way that I've found to be damned handy.

QR Codes.

On my Nexus 4, I use a combination of QR Droid and Universal Encoding Tool. I feed the token into a Linux command line utility called qrencode, capture the resulting image with QR Droid, feed the text into Universal Encoding Tool, and then cut & paste the resulting SHA-512 hash into OpenVPN.

I'm sure the equivalent tools exist on iOS, so as a request from a very happy user, can resellers attach QR codes to token emails?

Cheers. :D

This is actually a very good idea... should be hashed already? hummm

Adding it right now to my "Greetings e-mail from mirciado.com"

@Tealc

Not so sure of them being pre-hashed. I did think of that...it would certainly make life easier...not sure.
