I can't play 1080p youtube videos smoothly.
It doesn't buffer correctly with DASH playback.
It loads a bit then stops, then takes a long time to buffer, plays again and then rebuffers again...
I use cantus, which is detected as the fastest node via the desktop client.
But only when not using the VPN connection the buffering/Dash playback works (without VPN it manages to buffer in time, so that there is enough buffered in advance, so that there is no stopping video)

A number of questions:

1) What's your "naked" Internet speed?
2) Which version of Windows are you running?
3) What's your CPU and RAM?
4) Ignoring what the desktop client has told you re: cantus, which node is physically closest to your location? Can you give that node a try?

1) "up to 16mbit/s" contract -> real throughput: Downloadspeed = 10,5-11 Mbit/s
2) Windows 7 Professional Sp1 x64
3) Intel Core i5-2500K @4,6ghz and 8GB Ram (mostly ~4Gb ram free)
4) Cantus already is the closest node geographically

It seems to be day time dependent. (which is to be expected for an internet connection it self. But it suddenly worked when I disabled the VPN, so it wasn't the Internet connection, but rather something with the VPN connection)

Right now at afternoon (3pm), I can watch pretty well with VPN enabled. It loads parts of the video with 1,3MB/s (11mbit) then the video plays and right on time it begins with 300kB/s and goes up again to 700kB/s. So it manages to load enough even with VPN.

Yesterday when I opened my thread it was 11pm and with VPN enabled it only loaded at max 250-300kB/s and not long enough to buffer enough in advance. After disabling the VPN it loaded with 1,3MB/s again.

Yeah, it sounds like congestion between you and the VPN node, or between the VPN node and the rest of the Internet. It certainly isn't anything to do with your connection. Just for a test, could you try giving Onyx (France) and Turing (UK) a try and see what happens?

Just now it already starts to be slow again (4pm).

EDIT: I connected to "Paris - paris" and is seems to load a bit better

So I watched youtube now (9:30pm) and was on "Paris - paris" The first second it loaded with 1MB/s but starting from the 2nd time that it buffered, it never went above 300kB/s again.

So I switched to "London - turing" and there I got only 200-300 kB/s again. So there is no improvement.
I then switched to "Frankfurt - cantus" (geographically the nearest) and it was even worse. Started the video from beginning (F5) it loaded 1MB/s for split-second, but then it after a while it only got 50kB/-200Kb/s averaging around 150kB/s at most.

Then I disconnected the VPN and only got 150-300 kB/s as well, in that way I can't view 10 seconds of video till it starts rebuffering.

Seeing, that it got worse the closer the Endpoint of the Tunnel was to my place, I guess the Youtube CDN server in my country is overloaded.
So the solution might me, to selected a VPN server that is far away??

EDIT: The behavior is so different than yesterday. Yesterday it was clearly better without using the VPN connection. Today not so much

another EDIT: It now seems to bee bad every where, Iceland server = less than 150kB/s, US central - mishigami (with UK ip??) as well bad, less than 100kB/s, but now also Frankfurt below than 100kB/s and not 300kB/s like I wrote above.

The fact that it was bad while the VPN was disconnected suggests there is a routing or loading issue between the YouTube CDN and yourself, as you suggest. It could easily be a defective router, or just bad routing overall.

So i can't do anything, right?

As I'm up late today (now it is 2am), now the video loads without rebuffering. It loads with 0,8-1,3MB/s. That's with VPN connected to Cantus - Frankfurt

Yeah, it looks that way. Whatever is going on looks like it is out of both yours and CryptoStorm's control, unfortunately.

To add a bit of analysis, here is a network load chart, with the NIC (1GBps) and the TAP interface.
I added blue trend lines (arrows). And a orange bar, above which the video didn't stop for buffering for a while.

I have had this issue as well, sounds like it might just be the node lagging a bit.

OP said in a earlier post that it happened without the VPN being connected, which points to a network issue elsewhere.

and without VPN it loads 2-3 times with 1MB/s, then goes down and the video stops and rebuffers a lot. But the speed varies from 0,2MB/s to 1MB/s
When connected via VPN it buffers also a lot but varies from 0,05MB/s to 0,2MB/s only and never goes up to to 1MB/s.

(I talk about byte there, not bit)

Speedtest.net gives a 3,5MBit/s as result with VPN and 144ms ping. Without VPN I get ~6-8Mbit/s as result and 55ms ping (my connection usually gets 11mbit/s).

It happened last time on Iceland node

Again, I have trouble.
When connected to the Paris or UK node I can't watch youtube, because I only get 2mBit/s max.

Even if I connect to the geographically closet node (Germany) (which has been the best over-all-performing node in general) I only get 3-4Mbit/s on average when watching a 720p Video. That isn't enough, I get a couple of re-bufferings.

But if I don't use cryptostorm VPN when watching a 720p video, I get 7 Mbit/s on average and 11Mbit/s as spikes (11Mbits/ is the max my DSL connection supports). With that speed no re-buffering occurs.
