Android OpenVPN IPv6 Leaks

Postby seedsorter » Fri Aug 03, 2018 8:48 am

Hello! I downloaded the OpenVPN USEast config from https://cryptostorm.is/configs/ecc/, and put it into Arne Schwabe's OpenVPN app as recommended. Then I checked on ipleak.net and my IPv6 address was being leaked.

I then turned on the settings "Use Default Route" for IPv4 and IPv6 as well as turning on persistent tunnel in the app. The IPv6 was still leaking... I really enjoy the dedication to privacy and security of Cryptostorm but I can't use it if it is leaking my information.

If you have any information on how to fix this I would be greatly appreciative. Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to assist with discovering the issue.

Okay, so I unchecked "Bypass VPN for local networks" and it fixed the issue it seems. I now get the response that "IPv6 is not reachable" by ipleak.net. Is this an okay fix? Will it always work?
