Connect to Obfsproxy on Linux?

Postby ipman » Mon Mar 12, 2018 12:26 pm

Hey, this maybe a stupid question. But, is there any tutorial explaining how to connect to Obfsproxy-Romania on Linux?. I checked github configuration file repo, but it's not there.

@OP

I've never used an obfsproxy node so I'm not familiar with them. When you connected to it on Windows, did you use the Cryptostorm widget or something else?

OK so in that case, to use them on Linux you would set them up exactly the same as you would a normal exit node. Have you done that before? btw, when you say "Linux" do you mean desktop or router?

@OP

In that case, I assume you would:

1. Go to the "voodoo" section of the repo.
2. Download an appropriate configuration file
3. Load it into the VPN section of Network Manager - you may have to separate out the certificate into separate file or simply download it from here.
4. Enter your credentials - username is the hashed token, password can be anything (but must be something - even a single character).
5. Hit connect.
6. ???
7. Profit. :D

The voodoo nodes use GRE tunnels, so they are fully transparent to an OpenVPN client.
