note: folks using Tunnelblick for the Mac/OSX will want to ensure they don't include the --log directives that are found in these default/Linux configuration files; we've a separate dedicated thread offering excellent information on connecting to cryptostorm with Tunnelblick, and all the data in that thread work for cryptofree just fine! Our thanks to @nickoutprintln for catching this & letting us know.
Smart folks have suggested that a connection guide for the beta cryptofree configuration files would be helpful. Yes, very much so!
We did rush out the cryptofree linux conf's quickly, before any documentation of any sort, because lots of our members and regular forum visitors are familiar with the process of setting up openvpn sessions from the terminal. Also, the process is identical as that used in full-bore cryptostorm sessions, and there's some good howto's for that, floating around in here.
So we're opening this thread to pull together the most elegant, to-the-point guidance on getting Linux-based cryptofree sessions going. As posts get fine-tuned and improved, we'll migrate them out to a dedicated & pinned definitive version of the guide. This is a "working thread" for creating such a thing... basically a wiki except we're not really calling it that. And it's not world-editable. And it's not a wiki, actually. So except for that, it's like a wiki.
Anyway, feel free to share your advice or requests or feedback on the best way to do Linux connects - thanks!
