VOIP + Cryptostorm

Freewheeling spot to chew the fat on anything cryptostorm-related that doesn't fit elsewhere (i.e. support, howto, &c.). Criticism & praise & brainstorming & requests for explanation... this is where it goes when it's hot & ready for action! :-)

VOIP + Cryptostorm

Postby thisismarzametal » Mon Sep 28, 2015 6:43 am

With the new Aussie data retention laws due to start in October... some are thinking about VOIP as a replacement to standard landline and/or mobile phone.

I was wondering (sorry for the laymen questions):
1 - How does CS handle VOIP, if at all?
2 - If my ISP no longer accepts VOIP registrations, can some CS staffers/users recommend a VOIP provider / service to look into? ... preferably one that has the same expectations, holds the same standards and knows wtf privacy seppuku is and stands for it... OR ... if the ISP does not provide VOIP registrations, then VOIP cannot be used?

Some user experience with their current VOIP (if they have one) would be great too...

Cheers!

@OP

When you say VoIP, do you mean something like Vonage, something like Skype, or a SIP provider?
