We're doing some major upgrades to the server infrastructure behind our websites, including this forum & cryptostorm.is. Upgrades are intended to bring all backend packages current with project builds, and in general harden things against automated attacks. We're also looking to finally bring our Apache engine up to full 1.0.1(e) OpenSSL support.
Note that none of this impacts production network infrastructure; these are "merely" website updates. Our site hosting is done on physically distinct hardware, in Iceland, relative to our exitnode clusters and other session-supporting infrastructure.
These upgrades are expected to result in short downtimes for the forum and main cryptostorm.is website... but we now know that wasn't exactly how things worked out, eh?
If there's interest in discussing the guts of the upgrade, we hope a thread will be opened so it can be discussed in detail.
