Year token, too many logins, auth failure, not auto resetting

Well it seemed too good to be true having a year token work for a bit.

But slowly it's gone to crap.

I think my mobile and wifi drop out and it's just not making the auth count happy.

What are best iPhone settings with OpenVPN for timeouts etc?

In any case I'm angry at CS again.

This was NEVER an issue before auth limits.

Now you have auth limits your support for the impact of using them has been terrible.

You now want me to send my token (again ffs!) via email openly?
Or via pgp even it exposes my real emails accessing CS email.
Or via anonymous email, my token is exposed.

Or via irc that your irc person has 4 accounts on and replies to none?

WHY can't you do the token check page with reset functionality?

WHY is my token not auto resetting?

WHY can't you detect unused authorised connections (clearly ghost) and ignore them in the count?

WHY why why a million times why?

The lack of support has been deafening.

I'm still of the mind that CS might now be compromised and this shit service is a subtle message for members to be running for the hills!

Or maybe the service is just terrible because you can't be arsed?

Either way you're not reassuring me after I just spent for a year token!

Lame.

@OP

If you need to send your token to CS support and wish to do so anonymously, you can always use a burner email address and encrypt your message with PGP. Just be sure to include your (burner) public key along with your encrypted message. :)

As to your other questions...the authorization server has no real idea about your connection sessions and their current status, so if there is an unclean connection termination (such as a mobile connection which drops out) the session counter won't be adjusted accordingly, so then when the device reconnects, the session counter will be incremented again as normal - obviously this means that the session counter will continue to climb towards its limit.

A session reset button on the token check page might be a good idea, but might also be open to abuse I suppose.
