RIAA Notice

Postby Eboman123 » Mon Apr 11, 2016 6:55 am

Hi folks,
Is there any way for me to view a copy of my logs from last night?
I was connected to Cryptostorm. Accidentally downloaded a movie that probably should not have been downloaded through BitTorrent. This morning, I received a nice notice from my ISP saying they received a notice from Warner Brothers Entertainment that I was illegally file sharing that movie and I was in violation...blah...RIAA..blah...blah.

I'm 99.9% sure I was connected through Cryptostorm at the time the notice says I was file-sharing, so I'm scratching my head. In fact, I even run VPNCheck Pro to automatically kill uTorrent if my IP address changes for any reason.

Any ideas??

Thanks,
Eboman

Does your torrent app have a little text box entry where you can input your CS IP?

Note: Slightly off topic, but relative to the thread.

TLDR: Im watching this thread. Interested in questions asked by deleted posts.

-----------------------

1] I was following this post and they had mentioned a list of things to check for. A since removed post had asked for some recommended readings in regards to dns leaks and webrtc checks. I am interested in any suggestions. Im looking for sources that get more detailed into the 'why' then the user guides but not written at an expert level. (Will take any suggestions)

2] Do people trust OpenVPN Pro? Why/Why not? After trying to vet the software I have my own conclusions but I would like to hear a variety of thoughts.

3] Please post results, findings, conclusions, etc. (I would love to know what you find out.)

I have made some effort to locate these answers.
