gateway port options?

Postby rsm » Fri Feb 12, 2016 7:58 am

There's any gateway port option? my ISP seems to be blocking vpn connections to port 443, in another vpn I can connect on port 2048 but I can't on port 443. I just bought a 1-month token and can't get it connected.

Wow, an ISP blocking 443. I thought this never happened. If you're on the widget, you can choose a custom port to connect to.

What they seem to be blocking is 443/UDP, specifically. HTTPS traffic - 443/TCP - will still get through. They could be blocking all CS nodes, since they are all public. They could be even going a level deeper and blocking all OpenVPN traffic, but that would be a little stupid, although they could be blocking OpenVPN traffic specifically on port 443, whether TCP or UDP.

This is also stupid, but there's no accounting for taste, as they say. :p
