Questions about the service?

Postby Avax » Tue Apr 21, 2015 8:09 am

So, I've looked around at other VPN's that I don't have to set up (I have VPS's to worry about, I don't need a tunnel being compromised too.), and I have a few questions about this one. (Also, so far, the free service seems amazing even with the capped speeds. +)

Is there a rough estimate of how many people use each node and if so, can I know? I rather not use a semi popular one where I have a chance of being traced somehow.

I can use this for any device as a long as I have the auth token correct?

How much downtime is there usually for any node?

In reply to the first question. I personally don't have access to that info. But Iceland & Singapore might be of use :P

Yes that's correct for as long as you have a working token otherwise you can still use cryptofree.

I've found there is never any more than 2-5hours of downtime for a node. I've personally not really experienced much downtime in using CS. But I am biased obviously.

@OP

1. I don't have this information. I suspect the internal team(s) do, but they may not release it publicly for security reasons. What I can say is that you can take an educated guess as to the most popular nodes and use those. From a European perspective, I'd say Germany, France and Iceland. From a North American perspective, I'd say possibly the Quebec and US Central nodes.
