problems connecting to some nodes

Postby kra » Fri Nov 21, 2014 7:39 pm

Hi all

I bought a token and trying things out.

I am using linux (Fedora) and have followed the instructions at viewtopic.php?f=37&t=3978 to set up openvpn with network manager.

I then downloaded the configuration files (1_3 versions) from viewtopic.php?f=32&t=5996 and tried out the VPN service.
Unfortunately it connected only with the Portugal configuration file, while for all the other configuration files it timed out and did not work. Strangely enough, it worked with the France configuration file suggested at viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6014&p=9524&hilit=cryptostorm_client_raw+france.conf#p9524. Is there any special reason why things work with the Portugal/France configuration files and not with the others?

Besides this, can you please clarify a couple of things:
1. Why isn't the France configuration file I pointed to above listed at conf.cryptostorm.org? Not official node?
2. Are the nodes listed at https://cryptostorm.nu/nodelist.txt the official list of nodes provided by CS? It seems they are not from the official CS domain.
3. The status page at https://cryptostorm.is/status does not seem to exist anymore - is going to be fixed?

Thank you in advance for your support

Kra
