Waiting for password with Tunnelblick

Postby soulasylum » Sat Aug 12, 2017 8:58 pm

Hey.

I just bought a month of cryptostorm, downloaded the config files and Tunnelblick, went through the instructions in the attached readme files and all I get is "waiting for password". What's going on?
I'm on mac btw.

Tunnelblick project and its third-party providers / services are now upfront about keeping logs on downloads and updates (inclusive of tunnelblick.net browsing habits).

Not surprised if there is more than four (4) reasons in making "user consent and the logging" mandatory.
https://tunnelblick.net/cRlsNotes.html

Perhaps getting Viscosity anonymously and in-bulk by us members is a temporary workaround and much safer than updating to latest Tunnelblick version?

Any advice if there are potential privacy/ de-anonymization vectors?
In terms of implications of long-term log preservation by the vendors.. etc?

Users prior to version 3.7.4beta01 build 4890 are best advised not to update if in doubt. At least I hope the devs rescind their decision to allow logging.
