need advice for a ADSL2+ / VDSL2 bonded pair DSL modem replacement for centurylink

Postby hulltech_unseen » Wed Jun 24, 2015 10:29 am

Hello,
I am looking to replace my modem/router provided by my ISP, Century link. They charge 100.00 for a modem/router that is ,in my opinion sub par. I have to reboot several times a day so I need advice on a new modem. I need a ADSL2+ /VDSL2 bonded pair modem. I found a few but they are only 10/100. I would like something that is 10/100/1000. I have been looking at Draytek vigor 130 but unsure if it handles gigabyte connections. I will be connecting to 2 Asus RT-AC68u routers. I am looking for features like user login and bandwidth throttling.
Any advice is greatly appreciated,( must work with Cryptostorm vpn).

Thank you
Have a great day! :D

Anyone know of a way to have users logon to control bandwidth and only one device logon at a time. What software would I need and equipment to make it work. I am no expert so I am sure my kids will know more than I do about it.

A digital subscriber line modem is a device used to connect a computer or router to a telephone line which provides the digital subscriber line service for connectivity to the Internet, which is often called DSL broadband.
