Re: cryptostorm's network access widget, rev. 0.9 public bet

I've echoed this over from the source-publication thread, as it might be useful here, as well: Had a good question come across the transom: why the tar archive, above, and not just a direct .exe of the installer? The forum here doesn't like .exe attachments, and while we could bully it into being ok...

Re: error connecting: Windows OpenVPN package

I'm echoing this over from a response that I believe is relevant to this error, and might be useful for other members. If the original poster prefers this not be here, just let me know and I'll remove it - thanks! {snip} This error you are seeing isn't actually an error. Let us explain: cryptostorm ...

Re: HOWTO: Windows | stock OpenVPN client

I've split off Riley's post regarding an error on connection to the customer service forum, into its own thread, so it's easier for others to find. Thanks!

Re: issue with IPs in 70.38.*.* subnet?

Reports are that this routing table bug actually involves any 70.*.*.* IP address, which is a much bigger issue and certainly suggests a routing table error on the part of the datacenter. Can others confirm that all such addresses are unreachable from within cryptostorm sessions terminating in the M...

Re: Torguard article from Ars

If memory serves, pj posted a comment to that article which was referenced in a tweet from our main account this week. Not sure if he cross-posted the comment to any thread here - as is his usual habit - or if that didn't happen during the launch pressures and whatnot. Suffice to say that, yes, ther...

Re: late-alpha widget testing, rev. 0.84w

We've had a few reports of component-rendering issues with folks using Windows 8 on external laptop monitors. The buttons end up smearing "off the screen," as in this screenshot : widgetGUIa.jpg This is an open issue that we're still investigating. If you see it, please let us know your sy...

Re: late-alpha widget testing, rev. 0.84w

I just downloaded the widget, ran it with token... didn't do the hash conversion, just inputted it as is, clicked on connect... looked like it was looping for a while, but by the time the green process bar got to the end, it connected. What Windows version are you running? Thanks! ~ cryptostorm_sup...

Re: Can't connect through the "Cryptostorm Client" or OpenVP

We're getting pretty consistently positive feedback that our release candidate Windows network access widget is behaving appropriately, so our recommendation is to give the widget a try unless you're really heart-set on using the raw OpenVPN GUI. We can certainly debug the issue you've got - most li...

Hi, we're happy to help you step through the process. A reminder: our network access widget, which is being released imminently as a pre-compiled Windows executable, will also be available for Linux in the very near future. Cross Site Scripting with Full-Screen API Pwnage

an interesting article about XSS attacks and their effects, definitely worth a read and considering security on the browser level with addons like noscript or XSS filtering browser extensions.
