Re: github repository for Mac confs

Oh and since you're on iOS: OpenVPN App was updated recently and they've changed some default settings --> go into the OpenVPN App settings and turn on 'Force AES-CBC ciphersuites' Cryptostorm should work again after that.

Yes, it's a config problem. i.e. Tunnelblick accepts 64 remote options only (limited to 64 'remote' options).

Re: Renewal for Tunnelblick

You need to purchase a new token at Cryptostorm.is. Head over to Tunnelblick and navigate to: "VPN Details..." --> click on the connection you wish to change (i.e. cstorm_Switzerland) --> "Settings" --> "Advanced..." --> "VPN Credentials" --> "Remove cred...

Re: What router would you recommend for Cryptostorm

Assumption: Your preferred connection to Cryptostorm is via router / not client on desktop pc. If this applies to your needs, here's a general advice: You certainly need a router with a powerful CPU, as the VPN or rather OpenVPN needs a lot of CPU power to process the data flow. Here's an example: I...

Re: Question about openvpn and username

Oh right. Hmmm indeed... My first thoughts when confronted with that would be - Is SSH enabled? Is 'allow wireless access' enabled? (if applicable) Am I using the right username/password? (mebbe try new combo) Did I do a hard reset when I first installed the firmware? Are iptables in the way? New u...

Re: HOW-TO: Tomato router setup

Thanks for the heads up! Today I had the chance to flash the router to the latest (stable) AdvancedTomato firmware. No problems with DNS settings (set as 'strict'). No leaks, beautiful CS deepDNS. The problem now is the router itself: Asus RT-N66U with 600Mhz CPU is too slow to handle reasonable fas...

Re: Question about openvpn and username

That easy, eh? Cool. As for jffs, have a look under 'Administration'. Yes, I know how to enable jffs but not how to access jffs to put the password.txt into it. That's why I use the USB thumb drive. I've tried to access my router via SSH via Terminal (to be able to connect to jffs): ssh [email protected].16...

Re: Question about openvpn and username

I couldn't figure out how to access the jffs partition on my AdvancedTomato router. So right now, I'm using a USB flash drive to store the password.txt file. Tell Tomato to access the username and password from there: Custom Configuration (in OpenVPN client section / Advanced tab) auth-user-pass /tm...

Any solution on that matter? I'm about to use a Asus RT-N66U with AdvancedTomato firmware and would greatly appreciate the CS deepDNS feature.

Make sure to use the latest build of Tunnelblick. There should be a setting such as described above.

Also use the official Tunnelblick Support Forum. The developers are very responsive and helpful.

Re: Why does my Swiss Server Show as NEW JERSEY IP Address??

Hi, click on "VPN Details...", navigate to the config you wish to connect to. Click once to select the config, eg "cstorm_Frankfurt", now look at the right side of the Tunnelblick screen and click on Settings. Make sure that "Route all IPv4 traffic through the VPN" and ...

Re: github repository for Mac confs

Newly updated mac configs should work with Tunnelblick/iOS/Viscosity "out of the box" now (steps: download, import and connect)

The ca.crt is not needed as an extra file anymore. Tunnelblick, iOS and Viscosity now recognizes the cert inside the config.

Hi hashtable, The OpenVPN iOS app will not accept the configs, when you don't add the ca.crt to the upload process (during the described process in iTunes) --> This would look like this: http://i.imgur.com/LyfMMBC.jpg?1 I don't want to change the Cryptostorm config files fundamentally (eg removing m...

This is also needed for Viscosity users btw. Here you don't have to edit the .ovpn files. Just add the new files to Viscosity, go the Preferences, double click the connection you want to edit and choose Networking. There you can delete the Fragment value. On another note: The dynamic config doesn't...

If you've got problems with the CS config files (latest as of November 2015)and the VPN-Client Tunnelblick on OS X (10.11.1), try the following steps: 1. Download the official config files from GitHub (as OS X user, you only need the "linux" folder): https://github.com/cryptostorm/cryptost...
