I had to do the same thing to get the new widget to work on my W7 machine after removing TAP and Widget so I could install the 1.23 version. It kept on installing TAP as "Unknown Device". So I just installed TAP from OpenVPN install file, then widget... perfect!

I don't see why it would benefit everyone, I have no use or purpose or inclination to allow an IP to bypass CS. I use Windows 7 Firewall with Advanced Security to block svchost.exe (provides inactive internet till widget kicks in)... hence I would suggest a spinoff widget to handle this split tunnel...

Have ya' noticed it's only the users with a very unique network setup that kick up a fuss... can't keep everyone happy all the time. It's a tad difficult for CS to cater to every setup... after all, they are not a franchise and don't have a 10 figure bank account balance.

EDIT: This approach isn't fool-proof. The above rules will have to be disabled (greyed out) if you want to check for fastest nodes or amount of users via widget. I might try and figure out which Windows Services are required to get this to work with the SVCHOST rules active (might be a dead-end)......

Also, some private trackers don't allow unrecognised hosts by default. A couple of trackers I have used refuse to allow me to connect while on darknet.

Cheers, took your advice and went back to a 4.2.2 ROM. I really dig it to be honest. It's cool! I even find OpenVPN connects much quicker, woo hoo! Tell ya' what... I was blown away when I first saw XPrivacy kick in, thought to myself wtf is this?! Strength beyond strength! I also love the fake mods...

Anyone tried this out on Android 4.4.3 yet? I manage to connect, but after a couple of minutes I get booted off. I have attached a log file...
