Re: The Ken Thompson Hack: turtles of trust, all the way down...

Defeating this threat, in my opinion, may remotely be possible by eradicating platform optimizations, reducing language and output complexity, and running all executables as LLVM bytecode- if we can provision systems as a collection of LLVM pre-binaries, and do JIT compiles using LLi, then we have a...

Re: Privacy Seppuku via key "leakage" mechanism

I seem to recall another post complaining in some regards about a competitor named FrootVPN "leaking"? their keys and then going on as if nothing happened.. One as ignorant as I might be willing to believe they were forced to continue operating and the LEA involved simply forced anyone thr...

Re: Bootstrapped Privacy Services: The One True Path (basically)

"There's also the privacy services projects that come out of nowhere and, without even the faintest hint of a business model or viable long-term plan for economic survival, toss their hat in the ring with free- or low-cost goodies." A casual observer like myself might glibly compare this ...

Re: Live-Capture Forensics of Corruptor-Injector Network injecting fake Chrome install via https@google

Is this really a honest analysis of non-benign corrupted content or intentionally overblown journalism? You conclude your post being unsure if this content is decidedly corrupt, while stressing the consequences of institutional content injection networks, and you have titled it implying that this co...

Re: I can feel the heat

Something I wrote a long time ago.. I feel it is more relevant here. "In the future, the human race will end in a war between two extremes: Predominantly humans will become metrosexual vloggers participating in the ubiquitous obliteration of human form where 12 billion unique bodies on the plan...

Re: I can feel the heat

As a reply to my rant, I wish to detail some next level mitigation concepts that may evolve the individual further and retreat from the system. You know that system. It's the one where everyone has a tumblrbooktube, is sharing their personal lives with everyone else, is completely open and connected...

I can feel the heat

So I pulled my vpn from my router and put it on my hardened funtoo laptop. Initially, it worked fine. then, it stopped working. Now, I swapped my configs and it runs again. Probably just a configuration mismatch somewhere right? Sadly, I am not electrified enough to go snooping through extensive am...

Re: Tomato 1.28

Yes, that is what you do. Wonderful. Your performance is simply superb. Extra-Ordinary. Except that I am NOT running OPENWRT and it is useless to tell me what you do because that will not help here. Please become 20 years younger. I don't have the ability to ssh in and directly write to files, the f...

Re: Tomato 1.28

What does
echo 93b66e7059176bbfa418061c5cba87dd >> /etc/config/openvpn.key

do? All I have my echo doing is echoing my token, not the 9-d string.

Re: Tomato 1.28

I managed to put the file in etc instead of the vpn folder and then added
ca /etc/TrustedRoot.pem
to the config, I am presuming it's ca instead of cert because this is a root certificate, right?

Edit: I understand what you are trying to say. I don't have direct access to that folder, not even by going in via ssh.

Tomato 1.28

Recently discovered this community of sausage lovers and decided to try on some cryptostorm for myself. Naturally it doesn't work. I realize this is my fault and that I do not know what I am doing. Help please :ugeek: The settings are the same as this guide https://cryptostorm.org/viewtopic.php?t=60...
