Re: Can't connect...

@parityboy, @Guest You need to download the updated config files (and possibly the new ca.crt file as well, depending on your setup) from the GitHub repo. As I'm concerned (OpenSuse), I confirm: yes I had to download and change the new ca.crt too (it's name on Github is ca.txt, but we can name it as...

Re: Price Increase? With bitcoin too?!

I don't really understand what's going on on the crypto currency market. Two years ago I bought some BTC for about 140$ and I spended 45$. The rest of my 95$ raised up to 3500$ until two days ago. Today their value is 2800$. I'm impressed about the ups and downs of the BTC, but I don't know if my 28...

Re: HOWTO: SHA512 hashing of tokens

Just another linux command line for the token hashing: echo -n "your-token" | sha512sum The result gives you the sha512-hash of your token, i.e. 128 numbers and letters. At the end, ignore the 2 or 3 blanks and the "-", only take the 128 numbers. Or copy the following little scri...

Connection failure to UnSA from time to time

Hello,

I experience impossibility to connect to the UnSA exit node from time to time.
When I retry some hours later (sometimes 1 hour or 30 minutes later), it works again.

Do other people make the same experience ?

Re: HOWTO: manual editing of widget exitnode preferences

Thank you parityboy, it works fine. :-) Bear in mind that onyx uses the post-Heartbleed certificates from this zip file (ca2.crt) Does this apply only for onyx/france or should we use the new certificate for all config files (Canada, Iceland, USA, Frankfurt) ? P.S. Shouldn't the france config file b...

Re: HOWTO: manual editing of widget exitnode preferences

Hi there, two weeks ago I installed the windows connection client (client.exe) and in this client there is a choice for an exit node in France. I connected and made a test with https://www.tracemyip.org/, indeed I was connected in France. But I nowhere find the config file for France, strange. (?!?)...

Re: Iceland = Switzerland = Canada ??

Hmm... Perhaps we should start a dedicated topic on how to de-NSA various web browsers, or something? In my opinion a very good idea. I realized that only few people knows that one can change browser behavior by changing variables in "about:config". We could collect, share and discuss the...

Re: Iceland = Switzerland = Canada ??

Hi Operandi, very smart advice, thank you ! I didn't know that variable. Like network.SendRefererHeader 0 (instead of 2) which means that my Firefox doesn't tell the website I visite which website I visited before. In my view, his information is confidential, but the default is 2. (Some banking webs...

Hi,

what is about the Switzerland exit node ? Is it in progress ?

And yes, an NL exit node would be nice too.

Re: Iceland = Switzerland = Canada ??

Thank you for the reply ! One little thing, are you on one of the countries that whatsmyip.... says that the ip is from? The answer is "no", I'm neither in Canada nor in Iceland or Switzerland. Interesting remark about Javascript. I just tried it out : whatismyipadress.com indicates Canada...

Re: Iceland = Switzerland = Canada ??

Well, 2 hours later I tried https://dnsleaktest.com/ which is responding "Iceland". whatismyipadress.com shows always Canada, geoiplookyp responds Iceland now. Whois request shows always "Switzerland", but this is perpaps the adress of the owner of the exit-node and not the geogr...

Iceland = Switzerland = Canada ??

Hello, When I establish a connection with one of the possible configuration-files, I always control if it really works: I call http://whatismyipaddress.com/ to verify. Today I connect to Iceland , whatismyipadress indicates that the IP-number in the iceland.conf file is in Canada . The geoiplookup c...
