Re: widget v3

Well I take it back. Seems to last a bit longer but now instead of a dialogue box about unable to connect the client now hangs on attempting to reset to crypto dns. The log says after 20 or 40 minutes that it's resetting due to time out. But that isn't the case at all. This is so frustrating. Crypto...

Re: widget v3

Big thanks for this version. I've had nothing but problems with the other version. Dropouts under load, inability to connect to server, retries not working because a pop-up says unable to find host. Was about to dump cryptostorm but thought to at least see if there is a new version of the client. Gl...

Re: widget version 2.22 ('sexy narwhal') released in the wild | 4.2.2015

At some time a few versions ago I've been encountering a problem where after about 24 hours I get a pop up that I can't resolve host. Widget doesn't reconnect I guess because it is a pop up. I can close popup and hut connect button fine but this requires manual intervention. Any ideas? Only known ch...

Re: Auto Re-connect Issue

This should prevent leakages. I note only a few Windows services would leak during the brief restart period but it should block things like torrents and other stuff at least. I did a ping test and it certainly stopped during this time. ------- @echo off cd [pathofthisfile] REM Test Target set router...

Re: Auto Re-connect Issue

So I solved this problem. Here is how: First don't use the Cryptostorm client. Uninstall and use the OpenVPN Client. Follow the instructions here: windows.cryptostorm.org Now modify the file by changing auth-user-pass to auth-user-pass password.txt You will now need to create a password.txt file in ...

Re: Auto Re-connect Issue

Any other options or work arounds? Does the native OpenVPN client do this?

Not to complain but my Internet cuts out quite frequently so manual restart isn't particularly useful to me.

Auto Re-connect Issue

The widget doesn't seem to be autoconnecting. Does anyone have this problem?

I'm happy to create a script to reconnect, but the next question is how to automatically connect the client?
