Mac version of widget?

Not sure where to post this: Is there a beta for the housemade Mac widget somewhere or can we expect a full release soonish? ;-) Now that the widget is at a spot in its development where we're all fairly happy with it, the task of porting over to a Mac/OSX compile is back on the frontburner. We hav...

Yessir, the durability of these clones became something of an problem. So it appears we're doing this : baystorm.png Still needs backend DB mapping, so it's not yet functional - just the frontend shell. But it's coming... So I'm obviously missing something here. Where's the "stealth?" Is it just because it's on port 443? Here's their "standard" (non-stealth) config: client dev tun1 proto udp remote au.torguardvpnaccess.com 443 resolv-retry infinite nobind tun-mtu 1500 tun-mtu-extra 32 mssfix 1450 ...

Re: AV Software Indicates Installer Is Infected

I'm appearing here for a brief note on this, and I'll ask our support folks to post more details shortly. This is a false positive caused by the opensource installer-packaging tool we use in creating our widget installer. We've been tracking the issues since last fall, and it's a known problem. Our ...

Re: Auto Re-connect Issue

The current widget release will re-connect if local network service is lost temporarily for some reason, but doesn't have an inbuilt feature to connect on Windows boot. That's in the roadmap for the 1.0 widget, and at present is part of the build - but hasn't yet been finalised for alpha testing so ...

Re: source code - cryptostorm widget, version 0.91(w)

Is there a switch I could use (eg: client.exe /rightnow) where the "/rightnow" clause would perform the mouse click on the Connect button on my behalf? The assumption is that the user has ticked "Save"... The goal of this hopefully, is to add client.exe into the startup folder s...

Havenco.com - seriously guys... wtf? "Private" keys not-so

When people are going about setting up an OpenVPN-based secure networking system, there's a bunch of steps - and decisions - relating to the generation and propagation of RSA keypairs & certificates. This, in turn, gets entangled with the entire PKI/CA framework... which is not always simple to ...

Re: source code - cryptostorm widget, version 0.91(w)

It seems that the connection time from double clicking to login completion is faster? Wow... Lots of perf-tuning in the current build. That'll continue in future revisions - since we've gone for open tools instead of proprietary, OS/platform-specific stuff, there's always going to be quite a bit of...

Reflections On Trusting Trust (pdf)

Reflections on Trusting Trust
Ken Thompson | ACM Turing Award lecture | August 1984
To what extent should one trust a statement that a program is free of Trojan horses? Perhaps it is more important to trust the people who wrote the software.
